12th of July

In today lesson I watched the performance of Amy, Bryony, Jenna, Ollie, and Louie.
They had a audience of around 25-30 students and they were very nervous at first the nailed it and got on with it. Overall the performance sounded great and you could see they enjoined doing it.

On the 5th of July

I went through all my compositions and made sure they were all completed and ready to perform to the year 8 class in the next few weeks. 

7th-28th June

In these lessons we worked on our compositions and i have now started the 3rd composition so i am nearly there. I am proud of the other 2 compositions. For this peace i am creating i am using strings, electric jazz guitar and  Drums.

On 17th- 31 of May . 

We did a retake of our performances to out teacher. Everything went amazing. Liams group did amazing and they where so much more confident than their first performance.  We are now all ready to perform our peaces of music.

10th May

I made my composition and my teacher came over and listened to it. He gave me some feed back on it, how to change it to make it sound better. He said for me to make the bass and stings to sound better together. So I went away and changed it as much as I could and put in as much effort to correct it, but I couldn't get it to sound right together.

17th May

24th May

We all sat down in a computer room and worked on our power points and/or blogs.

3rd May.

On the 3rd May in the lesson we listened to five song of different years and we listened to these songs and we had a a4 sheet that had the name of the songs. As we listen to the songs we had to write what era the song was from how it made you  feel when listening to it. Then we had to compare the songs with the type of music we listen to.

Tuesday 21st April.

In this lesson we sat down in a different classroom due to the exams taking place at that time. So we were told to pair up with someone and choose different songs and we had to write about it... For example how it made us feel listening to it.

Tuesday 26th April

In this lesson we were back in our own classroom and we got to work on our compositions. We worked on our second piece of music. I was looking at the different instruments to use.  

On the 22nd of March

I finished of my last composition and started the second piece of music. It isnt as good as the first peace but i will try my best to make it as good as possible.

On the 27th of March 

Mr Fuller came around to all of the groups and check where we are in the making of the music. I also started to work on my second composition. It is going alright now but it is a working in progress...

Tuesday the 15th of March

On Tuesday's lesson I sat down and looked at my composition and worked out what section would be the main peace and what would be the the middle section. And I have added a few more instructions to make it sound better than it did before.

On the 16th of February

On Tuesday the 16th I was working on my composition to make it sound much better. For me to do this I had to delete some of the strings and add new strings in that work better. After the lesson I had a music lesson where I am working on a different peace of composition. We have looked at the comments and made a new composition from scratch.

On the 8th of March

In my music lesson we had got to the point where we are nearly finished my newer composition. We also did an airdrop from the iPad we use in my music lesson to the iPad I use in my music PA lessons. So I can work on it during my lessons instead of my other composition. This is due to it sounds better and works a lot better. And I am currently working on it to a point where I am choosing what is the chorus and what is the main.

What has happened in my music lessons?

In my music lessons i have been working on a peice of compression to help me improve my compression that i have performed to the the class. overall these lessons have helped me to improve my compression (that is film music).

On the 2nd of February it was performance day.   

Not everyone was in but for the people that were in were told they still have to perform their piece of music. Everyone went of to rehearse for 10 or 15 minutes. 
Then it was show time, everyone was nervous, the tension was building. Everyone had performed. Everyone admitted that it was rusty and could be a lot better.

On the 9th of February.
